This Cookies Policy explains how UniRooms (“UniRooms”, “we”, “us”, or “the Platform”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you access our website or applications.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website or use an online service. Cookies help platforms recognize your device, remember preferences, and improve functionality and performance.

Cookies may be **session cookies** (deleted when you close your browser) or **persistent cookies** (stored until deleted or expired).

2. Why UniRooms Uses Cookies

UniRooms uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Enable core platform functionality
  • Authenticate users and maintain secure sessions
  • Remember user preferences and settings
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve services
  • Detect abuse, fraud, and security risks
  • Measure marketing effectiveness (where applicable)

  • 3. Types of Cookies We Use

    Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the Platform. They support functions such as account login, security, and fraud prevention. The Platform cannot function properly without these cookies.

    Functional Cookies

Functional cookies allow the Platform to remember your preferences, such as language selection or saved settings, to provide a more personalized experience.

    Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how users interact with the Platform by collecting aggregated and anonymized data (e.g., pages visited, session duration, events). We use this information to improve performance and usability. On web, we use Google Analytics for this purpose.

    Marketing & Advertising Cookies

Where enabled, marketing cookies may be used to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns or display relevant promotions. UniRooms does not sell personal data obtained through cookies. Currently, marketing cookies are not active on the Platform.

    Telemetry & Diagnostics Technologies

UniRooms uses non-cookie telemetry to track errors and diagnostics:

  • **Server-side error tracking (backend):** Captures server errors and performance data.
  • **Client error reporter (web):** A lightweight error reporter on the web app sends client-side crashes and errors to UniRooms servers for monitoring. This is not cookie-based but operates via API calls.

  • 4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies may be placed by third-party services integrated into the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • Analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Error tracking and monitoring providers
  • Payment processors and fraud prevention tools (when payments are enabled)
  • Customer support tools
  • Hosting, infrastructure, and security providers (e.g., Firebase/Google Cloud)
  • Third-party cookies are governed by the respective providers’ privacy and cookies policies. UniRooms does not control these cookies.

    5. Cookie Consent & Legal Basis

Where required by applicable law, UniRooms will obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device (such as analytics cookies). Essential cookies are processed based on legitimate interest, as they are required for the Platform to function securely. Server-side telemetry is processed under legitimate business interests and compliance obligations.

You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time through:

  • Browser controls or cookie settings where available
  • The cookie consent banner on the Platform (where applicable)
  • Contacting us at support@unirooms.app

  • 6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

  • 7. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. Currently, there is no consistent industry standard for responding to these signals, and UniRooms does not respond to DNT signals at this time.
